Yummy, Yummy, in my Tummy

Our next feeding stage has begun.  We started to feed Lukas baby food.  If you have ever seen Lukas eat, you would know that he LOVES his food.  From the moment he sees a bottle, the arms go straight out, start shaking and the mouth comes open.  He even has learned to hold a bottle, which I believe he did to keep from someone taking it from him.  So knowing all of this, I expected the transition to baby food to go well.  I was right!  (WARNING:  a lot of pictures to follow)

Overall it is going well.  It has been very entertaining so far :) I LOVE this little guy!!!

6 Months Old

Its official....Lukas is half a year old!  I feel this past month he has grown and changed a lot.  Every time we go to pick him up from his crib, we are pretty sure he grew a couple inches over night.  It is so much fun to just watch him sit and play and discover new things.

At 6 months old:

• Still no teeth, still lots of drool
• Laughs all the time
• Reaches for people
• Recognizes Mom and Dad, and smiles at us
• LOVES to play Peek-a-Boo
• fits in some of his 3-6 month clothes, but moving up in the dresser
• Enjoys playing with all of his toys
• Will reach and grab anything within arms length
• Likes to try and jump and moving constantly
• Very observant of everything around him
• Big news of the month....Started eating baby food (post to come w/ pics)

Baby Shower

This weekend I had a first.  It was the first baby shower that I was part of throwing.  My friend Amanda and I threw one for our fellow coach's wife Jami.  She is getting close to her due date so we were glad we got it in before his arrival.  Sadly I was not very good at capturing the event on my camera.  I do have a few pictures of the set up, just none of any people.  (Which is ridiculous I know, especially since Jami may be one of the most adorable pregnant people I have seen.)  It is so much fun to think about another little baby around.  I love seeing all of those tiny, itsy, bitsy little outfits that a newborn wears.  I always forget how small they are.  All in all it was a great afternoon and a wonderful shower.  We are getting very anxious for Baby Battin's arrival!
