Lexi 6 Months

Lexi is half a year old!  Seems crazy once again with how fast time flies.

6 Month Update:
  • In size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothes.  I have gotten the 6-9 month clothes in her dresser though ready for her.
  • Eating we have added baby food to our daily routine.  She is just on vegetables right now.  We eat right before the rest of us sit down for dinner.
  • She is still nursing and doing bottles as well.  She eats about every 3-4 hours.
  • Sleep is going good.  She goes to bed about 7:45 and will sleep until sometime between 4 and 6.  I feed her and then she goes back to bed until 8:00.  She would probably get herself back to sleep when she wakes up but I know feeding her will so we have stuck with that.
  • Naps are still a big thing for her as well.  She will take a morning nap, after noon (2hrs atleast) and then a 30 min. early evening snooze.
  • This girls just loves to smile at people.  She gets so excited in the morning to see everything and just greets you with her grin.
  • Still 2 teeth on bottom.
  • Lexi may be our chunkiest baby.  We have never really had the leg rolls and chubby cheeks.  (Official stats will be at doctor next week)
  • She loves to play on the floor with all the action around her.  She also has started to enjoy her jumperoo more this month.
  • The girl still refuses to roll.  She will get clear to her side but just stops.  She does well with tummy time but when she is done she just puts her head down in the floor and screams.
  • She can sit up for brief moments.  She is making progress with it.
  • She has started to go away from the pacifier more this month and uses her fingers.
  • Lexi still has a lot of dark hair.  I don't think she is going to lose it all like Lawson did.  The bald spot is growing back in as well.
  • She has gotten to take some baths with Laney and loves it!
  • Lexi loves her toes and playing with them.

Trying Out Baby Food

Feeding my children baby food is not a favorite thing on my to do list, but we have jumped in and started it with Lexi.  She has tried peas, green beans, and carrots so far.  She does pretty well.  Still trying to figure out what to do with her tongue though :)

Here we go

Not bad....

I'm with her on the something sweet.... I'm sure she will love the fruits!!

OUR Valentines

This year we wanted to think about the special things we love about each of the kids.  As the years go on, we want to remember the little things :)

Luke

  • The big hugs you come up and give when we least expect it
  • How you would shower for an hour if we let you
  • The daily update on school and how everyone in your class did that day
  • How observant you have become with our conversations
  • You put holes in your uniform pants from sliding in to P.E. just like your dad always did

Lawson
  • Our night time routine of eskimo kisses and bedtime sayings
  • How you run laps around our main floor, sometimes with no clothes even
  • How you have started to break out in song, sometimes being made up on the spot
  • You want to be just like Luke, but have become quite opposite actually
  • You will jump on Dad like a spider monkey out of no where if he gets anywhere near the floor

Laney
  • Your "cheese" face
  • We have rules for your brothers about the animals they sleep with yet you go to bed with 10 animals, and 5 random toys and your dad and I just let it go
  • The beginning of the "WHY" phase
  • Your dance moves can make anyone smile
  • How you randomly break out in tiger mode

Lexi
  • Your crooked tongued smile that lights up your face
  • Your love for your toes and chewing on is a favorite
  • Crazy how you love to watch football and basketball on tv
  • You don't like to be left out and just want to be with the rest of the family
  • How content you are when your siblings give you attention
