4th of July

The 4th of July is always a day full of activities.  The boys love to shoot off fireworks, makes me a nervous wreck.  Laney was not too sure of the loud noises but got better as the day went on.  Lexi didn't seem fazed by any of it.  We had a great day with family and enjoyed all the festivities.

They all got a parachute

It was a hot one

Laney wore a stocking hat to drown out some of the noise

Easter

Holidays continue to get better and better with the kids.  Their excitement in everything makes it that more special.  Easter was no exception this year.  The kids were looking forward to it and we had a great time celebrating.

Working on eggs.... no shirts allowed :)

Ready to go!

Here we go again

OUR Valentines

This year we wanted to think about the special things we love about each of the kids.  As the years go on, we want to remember the little things :)

Luke

  • The big hugs you come up and give when we least expect it
  • How you would shower for an hour if we let you
  • The daily update on school and how everyone in your class did that day
  • How observant you have become with our conversations
  • You put holes in your uniform pants from sliding in to P.E. just like your dad always did

Lawson
  • Our night time routine of eskimo kisses and bedtime sayings
  • How you run laps around our main floor, sometimes with no clothes even
  • How you have started to break out in song, sometimes being made up on the spot
  • You want to be just like Luke, but have become quite opposite actually
  • You will jump on Dad like a spider monkey out of no where if he gets anywhere near the floor

Laney
  • Your "cheese" face
  • We have rules for your brothers about the animals they sleep with yet you go to bed with 10 animals, and 5 random toys and your dad and I just let it go
  • The beginning of the "WHY" phase
  • Your dance moves can make anyone smile
  • How you randomly break out in tiger mode

Lexi
  • Your crooked tongued smile that lights up your face
  • Your love for your toes and chewing on is a favorite
  • Crazy how you love to watch football and basketball on tv
  • You don't like to be left out and just want to be with the rest of the family
  • How content you are when your siblings give you attention

Beck Christmas 2016

We didn't have to travel far this year for the holidays.  On Christmas Eve after mass we headed over to Claflin.  We got to see and visit with a lot of the Strube family at GG's house that evening.  We even had a visit from Santa Claus while we were there.  Laney was still not a fan, but the boys and Lexi were excited to see him.  We got to spend Christmas day at Grandpa and Grandma Beck's.  We missed the Georgia crew, but enjoyed the holiday time with the rest of the family.  We were spoiled once again this year and the kids loved every minute of it.  The holidays were full of wonderful memories!

First Christmas for these TWO

Excited Christmas Morning

Looking for some good recipes

Laney is helping Lexi figure out her new recliner.

These two girls are going to be a handful together.

Laney, once again, did not care to cooperate for the picture

I had to add the matching pajama pic we got the other night.  What cuties!!
The holiday season was a great ending to another year.  We feel blessed in so many ways and thank God everyday for life he has given us.  Excited to see what 2017 has in store for us!
