Lexi 5 Months

Little Miss is getting more and more personality!  Love watching her grow and change as she hits the 5 Month mark.

Update:
  • In 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers
  • Still nursing most of the time.  Takes bottles well and drinks 6-7 ounces when she does.
  • Has found her toes and loves to play with them.  Putting them in her mouth is a favorite as well
  • I try to actually dress her more during the day and get her out of the footie pajamas so she can play with her toes.  I think she is appreciative :)
  • Sleep has regressed this month.  It always seems to around this time.  She wakes up one to two times a night.  I am hoping we go back to more sleep soon.
  • It could be some because of Mom changing things on her.  We are working on getting her in her bed more.  She does alright for a couple hours and has started napping there more, but so much just depends on what is going on in the house.  When kids are playing upstairs, its not a great nap space for her so we are making things work.
  • Lexi also has gotten 2 teeth this month.  Crazy I know, earliest any of my kids have gotten teeth.  This also could be some of the sleep issues.  Her bottom two have popped through at the same time.  She has been drooling a lot, but I was still surprised to find them.
  • This reminds me I still need to find all the teething rings we have somewhere.
  • She has started to grab toys more, especially on her play mat.  Her brothers and sister are good at making sure there are lots of toys available to her.
  • Standing has become an interest, supported obviously, but likes to test out that leg strength.
  • Because of that I thought the jumper-roo might be worth a shot.  She has no concept of actually jumping but will tolerate it for short periods of time.
  • The coos and little noises have started, trying to join in on all the conversations around her.
  • Her siblings have started to want to hold her more.  She loves their attention and looks for them around the room.  She gets a big smile when then stop and talk to her.
  • Laney especially likes interacting with her and trying to "play" with her.  Lexi just smiles at her.  I can't wait to watch them grow together.
  • She is very easy going though and usually pretty relaxed.

Lexi's Baptism

Lexi received her first sacrament last weekend with her Baptism.  It was a great day celebrating her with some of our family.  She did pretty good considering it was during the middle of nap time.  She especially liked the warm water though.  Lexi was able to wear the same dress Laney wore, which is passed down from my family.  It is the dress my mom wore, along with all my sisters and many cousins.  She looked beautiful and gave us a lot of smiles for the day!

Of course Mom had to put a huge bow on my head :)

Beck Christmas 2016

We didn't have to travel far this year for the holidays.  On Christmas Eve after mass we headed over to Claflin.  We got to see and visit with a lot of the Strube family at GG's house that evening.  We even had a visit from Santa Claus while we were there.  Laney was still not a fan, but the boys and Lexi were excited to see him.  We got to spend Christmas day at Grandpa and Grandma Beck's.  We missed the Georgia crew, but enjoyed the holiday time with the rest of the family.  We were spoiled once again this year and the kids loved every minute of it.  The holidays were full of wonderful memories!

First Christmas for these TWO

Excited Christmas Morning

Laney is helping Lexi figure out her new recliner.

These two girls are going to be a handful together.

Laney, once again, did not care to cooperate for the picture

I had to add the matching pajama pic we got the other night.  What cuties!!
The holiday season was a great ending to another year.  We feel blessed in so many ways and thank God everyday for life he has given us.  Excited to see what 2017 has in store for us!

Keeley Christmas 2016

Christmas just keeps getting better each year.  Watching the kids light up with all the decorations, goodies, gifts, and fun.  I love all the family time we get.  We got to spend a couple of days with my family before Christmas.  Everyone made it back, which makes for a full house, but also a lot of fun.

Cam doesn't look too sure of Laney's hugs
