Lexi is ONE!!!

A year ago I remember pacing our living room, timing contractions and waking Erin to words of I think its time.  That was a first for us since the older three all came planned.  The anticipation of what was to come was overwhelming.  Now a year later, she is waking us with her big smiles and hugs.  I can't believe our baby is ONE Year Old!!!!!

Update:
  • Not sure on weight and height but she has always been on the small side
  • Lexi loves to eat, anything and everything.  She shovels it in as if someone is going to take it from her.
  • She is a great sleeper and still takes two naps a day
  • Talking is getting to be more babbling.  Dadda has been much more apparent this month and the Momma has slowed down a lot
  • She has 8 teeth and I think some more coming.  She has struggled some this month with some teething pain
  • Lexi has learned to clap and loves to show people
  • She has started to become a bit of a mama's girl lately though.  She is fine with others unless she sees me.
  • We have no interest instanding on our own much less walking.  If she doesn't have support from furniture or hands, she isn't doing it.
  • Lexi gets very excited about bath time and will crawl in and just wait to get in.
  • She can spy an open staircase or bathroom door within seconds.  She will head straight for it hoping not to be noticed
  • She can go up stairs, but haven't done much with the down part
  • Lexi also loves to climb on the dishwasher when it is being loaded
  • She loves to be outside on walks or bike rides.
  • She has been a big cuddler this month, not sure if that is because of the teeth, but we will take it.  She wants to be held and then will lay her head down and give you a hug.  It is the sweetest.
  • Seeing her brothers and sister make her give the biggest smiles.  They have loved trying out all the baby toys we have brought back out.

Lexi you complete our family perfectly.  You just go with the flow, but have loved exploring on your own lately.  We have just loved to watch you grow and learn this past year but it is also hard to see my baby grow up.  We love you so much!!

Family Pictures

I have a love hate relationship with family pictures.  I love to have them taken to look back through and hang around my house, however they can be out of date feeling so quickly.  I usually just take the kids out and take my own pictures of them to update once a year and try to get a cute one of the group.  This does not include Erin and me in the picture though.  Well I decided this summer we were going to get family ones taken and I'm so glad we did.  We got a ton of pictures and multiple ones of the whole group cooperating, which can be a challenge with six of us  :)

Trip to Another Zoo

Yes we made another zoo trip this summer.  I have never been to the Sedgwick County Zoo and thought it would be a fun day adventure to finish up the summer.  Amanda and I loaded up the kiddos early one more and made a fun day of it.  I have heard mixed things about this zoo, but we really enjoyed it.  My kiddos are still big animal fans so they loved every minute of it.  (Not a lot of pictures but got a few)

Luke's Finally Lost a Tooth

Luke has been waiting and waiting to lose a tooth for over a year now.  He has had cousins and friends that have lost them and talked about it and shown him.  He would push and tug at his teeth just hoping one would get lose.  Well finally at the end of the school year last year one was starting to loosen.  That however only started the anticipation of it falling out.  Luke was pretty unsure of letting someone pull it, but we finally got it out the day before he started 1st grade!  The Tooth fairy did not disappoint and he is just waiting for the next one to come out.

Summer Adventures

We have done some big trips or big events this summer, but we have also just had some day to day adventures as well.  I thought I would share some pictures of those times.  We did a lot of park playing, swimming, friend and cousin time, camps and t-ball, and just hanging out.  I love to look at those little smiling faces :)
