Laney is 7 Months

Little lady just keeps growing up.  She is at a great age with the interaction of those around her and trying to figure it all out.

Getting harder to keep her still in the chair.

Laney update:
  • Went to the doctor recently and is weighing 14 lb. oz.  and is 26 inches long.  She is still long and skinny!
  • Wears 2 diapers but will be going into 3s when we run out.
  • Started moving into 6-9 month clothes.
  • She has started messing with bows on her head now.  She will pull them down and chew on them.  Before she never noticed them much.
  • We have started eating baby food once a day.  She is doing great with it!  We have only done vegetables so far but getting ready for some fruit.
  • Has started sleeping through the night.  I think the food has helped with that.  If she does wake up she just needs a pacifier and goes right back to sleep.  She goes to bed around 8-8:30 and will sleep until about 7.
  • She still naps at least 2 times a day.  Her morning name is just a quick snooze while her afternoon will be 2-3 hours usually.
  • Has started to love her jumpy seat and getting more strength in her legs.  Will try to stand now if you hold her up.  For the longest time she would just curl her legs up.
  • Gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth.  Not crawling yet, but won't be long I'm sure.  She moves more backwards than anything right now.
  • Sits really well by herself.
  • Still smiley as ever!
  • Loves to stick her tongue out
  • Enjoys bath time
  • Loves to hear herself talk now
  • No change on teeth, just the bottom 2.
  • Luke will help with her, but Lawson just adores here and likes to lay down and play/interact with her.  She just loves them both.

How Can We Not Get Him?

So the other day the kids and I were walking the mall with a group for some exercise.  It was pouring rain outside hence why we were there.  Well as we continued to loop I noticed a Pet Land there with a lot of little puppies.  When we were done walking we went in to check them out.  I love LOOKING at little puppies.  They are so cute!  Then I noticed this guy.....

How adorable is he?!?  I immediately took a picture and sent it to Erin.  He has always loved bull dogs and probably his dream dog.  In doing some research on this fact in college I learned quickly these dogs can be very pricey.  I think he replied immediately with, "Buy Him".

We were just looking at them when the lady brings the little girl out and asks if we want to play with her.  So the kids and I head into a sitting area and cuddle her for a bit.  Lawson was all for holding and petting the puppy.  Luke was more interested in watching from a little distance.

The lady comes back and starts telling me all the facts and information about the dog.  I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention since I had no intentions of purchasing a dog.  At the end I did finally ask the price.  She replied with, "Forty five ninety nine."  Now again I had found that these dogs were pricey.  I had previously found one years ago for just under $2000.  I was trying to process it in my head and decide if it was $45.99 or $4599.  I felt the first was a no way.  That is practically giving a dog away, especially a bull dog, but the $4599 seemed crazy!  I was too embarrassed to even ask so we just left and said thanks.  Long story short we later found that the $4599 was the correct price, which made it easy to pass on purchasing this adorable little puppy and just think about going back for a visit sometime.  My little bull dog (Lawson) did look pretty cute with one though.

Laney Trying Baby Food

This girl has been wanting to eat with us for awhile now.  She loves to sit at the table and grabs anything she can reach in front of her.  We went ahead and tried to start on some baby food.  She was interested, but a little questionable about what I was sticking in her mouth.  She did okay with the rice cereal.  Next up some veggies.

Memorial Weekend

Over the long weekend we headed back to GB/Claflin to get in some grandparent time.  There was a lot going on between Schartz family reunion and the Claflin All School Reunion.  It was great to see and catch up with friends and family.  The kids just loved all of the extra attention :)
