What a Group

A couple of weeks ago Katrina brought her kiddos over to meet Lawson and play with Lukas.  These four together is quite the handful :)  I was impressed with the pictures we ended up with.  Notice the toys in the boys' hands.  We were doing whatever we could to convince them to take a picture on the couch.  What fun we have ahead of us!!

Getting Out of the House

The last couple of days the weather has been beautiful.  So I decided the boys and I needed to get out of the house and enjoy it.  It takes a little bit longer to get anywhere or do anything now with both of them, but I am figuring it out.  We went for a picnic in the park and then went to see the animals at the zoo.  Lukas loves the slides at the park and finding all of the animals in their cages.  It amazes me how well he knows the animals and their names.  His vocabulary is getting quite impressive.  Lawson enjoyed being outside and took advantage of the nice weather to get a good long nap in.  Maybe one of these days he will actually open his eyes and see what the outside world looks like :)

1 Week Old

Lawson is one week old today.  We are learning so much about this little man already.  I am still amazed by the amount of hair he has and by how tiny he is. The first couple of days home were quite the adjustment of trying to figure out what works best for him and the rest of us.  He is a pretty easy going baby.  He loves to cuddle with anyone that is willing to hold him.  He will snuggle right up against you.  We are still trying to figure out our nights and days, which makes our nights quite long for mom and dad.  Big brother is doing very well with Lawson.  I love watching Lukas interact with him.  He says the cutest things.  He is very big on going and "checking" on Lawson for me.  He is just such a protective older brother.  I will stop with the random information and let you see some of our week in pictures.

Baby Has Arrived!

I am a couple of days late on this, but finding time to get a blog done has been a bit of a challenge.  Erin and I are thrilled to announce that Lawson Dean Beck was born on Wednesday, October 10th.  He was 6lbs. 2 oz. (I can not believe how tiny he is.) and was 20 inches long.  He was born at 12:40 p.m. after I was induced Wednesday morning.  We are all doing GREAT!  Lukas has been a wonderful big brother and getting more and more curious about him daily.  I am adjusting to being Mom in a house full of boys!

39 weeks

Here we are at 39 weeks, just waiting to see when this little baby decides to make their debut.  I know this time is always the hardest to be patient while we are anxiously waiting to meet the new addition to our family.  I go through feelings that the time is coming soon, and then have to remind myself it could be a whole week away still.  We are all just so excited and ready.  I still can not decide if I think it is a boy or girl.  Lukas actually changed  his mind this week and has now started talking about a baby brother.  He has said sister this whole time, until now.  Who knows, but hopefully the mystery will be solved soon!
