Rub a Dub Dub, Three Men in a Tub

Okay so its not exactly a tub, and you can't really call Lukas a man, but Sunday we had a little fun in the hot tub.  Erin and Dustin were determined to fix the small leak we had since we got it.  Apparently it was pretty simple once they got the piece they needed.  To test it out, we went ahead and filled up the hot tub for the fall.  We figured there may be some evenings we could use it.  While working on this, Lukas thought he should test it out and go for a little swim.  There was no way I was getting in the water...way to cold for my liking.  Erin and Dustin joined him though, and Lukas was loving it.  He really enjoys watering things with the hose, so once he realized it was in there he took charge!

 

Catch Up

I first have to apologize for my poor blogging lately.  School and football have started back up and to be honest, we are all exhausted at the end of the day.  Our schedules have changed, but we are all adjusting well.  Lukas is not real fond of getting up early, but he is lucky and can get a couple of naps in throughout the day (Erin and I are very jealous).  He is such a happy boy at day care and has gotten great reports.  He loves to play with all the "new" toys and the puppy there.  He is a busy little boy that is constantly going.  Here at home, no cabinet or draw is safe any more.  He makes the kitchen look like a tornado came though.

Erin and I are off to good starts in our school year.  Football practice is very hot, but going well.  We are getting excited for the games to start!  Although I am not real sure how Lukas is going to do at games.  I guess only time will tell.

Gone Fishing

Wednesday was my last day of summer vacation, so we decided to get out and enjoy the evening.  The weather was being very cooperative so to the sandpit we went.  Grandpa and Grandma Keeley packed up some food and drinks for everyone, we got the fishing poles and chairs and we were on our way.  It was a great evening to just sit out and enjoy.  Beth and I were the only two to catch anything.  Beth actually caught two fish.  Lukas loved checking out all the bugs and dirt.  He was quite entertained trying to catch a grasshopper for a bit.  I know Erin still has a few more days....dang private schools, but I am going to go ahead and say it.  Summer has ended and school kids await as we begin another year.  It was a good ending to a great summer for us!

Weekend in Wichita

This past weekend we took a mini vacation to Wichita with the Keeley family.  We really just wanted a time for all of us to get together and hang out.  It started out on Friday evening at my cousin Emily's wedding.  She looked absolutely gorgeous!  We all had a great time and got to catch up with a lot of family.  Lukas was very entertained by chasing his cousins Cade and Khloe around.

Saturday the guys went golfing and the girls did a little shopping, then we all hit up the hotel pool.  We ended the day with dinner and a All-Star Sports. 

Sunday we got up and went to the Goddard Zoo, Tanganyika.  Lukas loved to see all the animals.  They let you get really close to a lot of them and even pet them.  I would have to say the giraffes were my favorite!  It was a great weekend all together to end summer vacations with.  Now Lukas is just trying to catch up on his sleep  :)
