New Pictures

I had been wanting to get new pictures of Lukas "professionally" taken.  We got them when he was 4 months old, but he has changed so much since then.  He smiles all the time and his personality is starting to show.  I looked at all sorts of different options, but didn't want to do anything too crazy expensive.  I mean, I'm probably going to want them again in a couple of months, so it is hard to spend a couple hundred dollars on pictures now.  Well, we are so VERY VERY LUCKY to have such talented family!  Erin's cousin Kipp was able to take some pictures for us and they turned out AMAZING!  (Thank you soo much Kipp if you are reading this)  We couldn't be happier with the great shots he got of Lukas and our family.  I can't wait to order them and get them around the house.  I am going to have to buy some more picture frames now.  Thanks again Kipp, and I hope you realize I will probably be asking you to do this again, I hope you don't mind!!!

7 Months Old!

It seems crazy that in a week we went from a winter blizzard to 70 degree days and beautiful.  I feel like Lukas has changed like crazy a long with the weather this week!  He is 7 months old and we are just loving it.  It has been so much fun to just sit and watch him try and discover things on his own.  Here we go with the pictures :)

Things about Lukas this month:

• He LOVES to eat!!!  He eats baby food and cereal 1 or 2 times a day, depending on our schedule for the day.  The only problem is he gets mad if there is too long of a break between bites
• He is rolling all over the place and started to scoot just a little.  He doesn't realize that he is scooting though.
• He makes a lot of noise.  He does a lot of Ga Ga, and loves to just make noise with his lips.  He just wants to hear himself.
• He loves to stand and tries to jump and bounce.
• We don't really sit still anymore.  Going places has become more challenging because of this.
• He loves to watch basketball!  We go to a lot of the high school games and the action on the court just mesmerizes him.
• He wants to grab anything he can within his reach and put it in his mouth.
• Always pulling his socks off and tries to eat them.  He even managed to get a pair of pants off during one of his naps!
• Lukas is very close to crawling.  He will pull him self onto his knees, but then he just rocks back and forth, Mom and Dad aren't sure we are ready for it!
• BIG NEWS....He now has 2 teeth!  A week after we saw the first one coming through we noticed the second, it is the bottom tooth beside the first one.  He has a strong little bite!

Snow, Snow, and MORE Snow

We got 2 more snow days this week!  I can not believe how much snow we have.  We spent all day yesterday looking out the window and just watching it fall.  It was very pretty to watch from inside in our warm house.  We enjoyed the days getting to hang out with Lukas.  He loved sleeping in and staying in our pajamas!  Daddy lit us a fire to enjoy all day too.  Lukas loves to just sit and watch the fire with his toys.  We have had a great couple of days just playing and napping together.  Nothing better than cuddling with a baby to stay warm!!!!

We had a little discovery when we woke up this morning....Lukas has his first tooth!  It has barely broken through, but it is there.  The little guy seems to be handling it alright so far.  Hopefully that continues.

Snow Day

FINALLY....It happened.  We got a snow day!  I will admit that the snows we have had so far this year have not been that bad.  We had one bad day of ice, but it came while we were at school.  So it is not crazy that we have not had a day off yet, but I like to always hope for it anyway.  Going to bed last night I just knew that it was all going to be miss us and it would just be miserably cold.  Everytime I got up to feed Lukas I would check outside and see what was going on.  When that call came at 5:15 I practically jumped out of bed!  Snow days at our house are extra special now.  We all THREE get to stay home together!!  It was a great day of just hanging out and playing inside.  The best part was staying in our pajamas until lunch.  I loved it!!!
