We have started to use our Tummy Cruiser for our tummy time lately. Lukas doesn't do too bad on it. He still hasn't started to grab the toys, but he looks at them and thinks about it. This is the only time he can roll over. I think being up on the pillow is cheating. All he really has to do is lean his head to one side and that carries him over. It sure is fun to watch though!

Fall Weather
I am loving the change in the weather! I am just hoping it sticks around. With the temperature cooling off, we have gotten the opportunity to try some different clothes on Lukas. We had a couple of firsts occur on Sunday.
That is right he wore jeans for the first time! Little baby jeans are adorable. I have to admit I am a bigger fan of baby pants rather than shorts. The shorts are all just so long that they look like too small of pants or even worse a skirt. He is starting to fill them out better, but just in time to start thinking about packing them away.
Lukas also wore his first pair of shoes! These were actually one of our first gifts after we told people we were expecting. Aunt Christy just couldn't resist the little plaid shoes.... they are very cute! They are still a tad big so hopefully we can get some good use out of them :)

My Little Boxer
Lukas has been working on his boxing form since the day he was born. Atleast he is protecting that cute little face.
He is quite the tough little guy. We had to get his 2 month shots today. I'm not sure who it was harder on, him or me. I hate getting shots..... but I think seeing my child get them is even worse. I would gladly take them for him if I could. Now I get to spend the rest of the day cuddling with him though. I guess I have 2 months to get myself prepared for the next ones. I may just have to take Daddy with us so he can help ME through it!

2 Months Old!!
Lukas is now 2 months old! It still feels like just yesterday I was in the hospital getting ready to have him. We have really enjoyed hanging out all day together. I am struggling because I have to go back to work later this week, but we will talk about that another day. Lukas and I just pretend it isn't going to happen :)
Here we go with the pictures:

Lukas at 2 months:
- His smile is adorable and we get to see it often!!! I just love to make him smile.
- He has started to babble more. Especially in the morning, he will just lay there talking and smiling like crazy. It is one of my favorite times of the day.
- He loves to look around at everything.
- He is a shoulder baby. I think he prefers this so he can see what is going on. It makes him work on holding his head up too.
- He is enjoying his tummy time a lot more now.
- He has become more interested in toys, but will not grab them yet.
- He is constantly kicking and moving his arms.
- He loves to suck on his fist, has not found any fingers yet though.
- He may be a little spoiled :) He really gets picky when people try sitting down holding him sometimes. I don't know how he can tell the difference, but he can.
- He can not wear newborn clothes anymore, except for a few sleepers that really don't look like newborns. He is in the 0-3 clothes now. (I just hope that size will work through the end of October because his Halloween costume is 0-3. I guess only time will tell)
- He loves to watch football with his dad, but he did seem to favor the Dallas Cowboys last weekend so Erin is a little worried.
- He is a very happy and growing baby!

Shopping Spree!
We had our first big trip since Lukas was born to Kansas City this weekend. He traveled very well. I think he was a bit confused by the drops of water that would hit his little head when we stopped once on our way up. He had never experienced rain before, and we drove through quite a bit of it. Anyway, we had a great time visiting so many people!
Friday night when we got there we went and celebrated my best friend Char's engagement at a restaurant and got to catch up with Megan, Holly, and Ryan. He loved Megan putting his hands in different poses and taking pictures of him :)
Saturday was a busy day! Lukas got to hang out with his cousin Hagen that morning. Lukas didn't know what to think about all the great toys Hagen had! Hagen loved to show us how they all worked. We then headed to the mall to do some shopping. Erina and I didn't buy a lot of clothes for Lukas before he was born. I think we made up for it on Saturday. The surprising thing is that I was having to slow Erin down!! We had a lot of luck and found some great clothes for the little man. Grandma Beck and Erin's aunt had spent the afternoon shopping as well, so Lukas got some more new things for his closet. It is just too much fun to by for babies!
We then headed downtown to see some of Erin's family. They were all in town to celebrate his cousin Kandice's wedding back in July at a reception that they were having. Lukas got to meet many new people and spend some great time with family. It was a GREAT weekend all together!
Here is Lukas with all of his new clothes. Erin and I's favorite is the Nike sweatshirt that we found for him. It is one of the few red and black things we could find, which will be perfect for Panther games!

Friday Night Lights
Lukas attended his first football game! On Friday night we went to the Great Bend vs. Aquinas high school game to cheer on his dad. (Erin is on the coaching staff at the high school.) Let me start with the fact that the weather was amazing and perfect for a football game. Lukas did awesome at the game! He spent a lot of time looking around and trying to figure out what was going on. All the people around us thought he was adorable, and he just ate up the attention. The Panthers on the other hand didn't have such a good night. We got beat 28 to 52. Hopefully next game will go better!
Our next big adventure will come this weekend! We are making our first trip to KC since Lukas has been born. I just hope he travels well :)
