My Sisters were In Town

Over Father's Day weekend, Christy and Beth were both back in town and we got to spend some quality time together.  I love to spend time with all of my family, but there is something extra special about sisters :)  Lukas sure liked it as well.  He is always asking about Aunt Beth and Aunt Christy now!

Happy Daddy's Day

I know I am a day late, but I figured better late than never.

Yesterday we celebrated a very special Daddy!  Lukas is one lucky little boy to have such an amazing Daddy. Lukas loves his Daddy so much and just lights up when he walks in the room.  He likes to wrestle with him, play football in the yard, and loves his yellow car.  I am so blessed to have a hands on husband who enjoys spending so much quality time as a family.  I appreciate all the things he does for our family, and I know I don't tell him that enough.

We also want to wish a great day to two other special fathers/grandpas  in our lives.

Pictures to Enjoy

I don't have a lot to say for the week.  We have found ways to keep ourselves busy for the summer so far.  This week we start up activities at the library, and I may consider a trip to the pool, but we will have to see on that one.

Sleep Over

Lukas had his first official sleep over last night with his cousin Cade.  Boy, was this kid excited!  From the moment we woke up yesterday he was asking when Cade was going to come over and play.  We had a GREAT time!  I did get some pictures of the beginning of our day, but then realized that I needed to be all hands on deck with these two so the camera got left behind :)

 I have come to realize that Lukas just idolizes anyone that comes to play with him.  He follows them around and copies anything they do.  I have to say my favorite part was during our walk.  Erin and I took them for a little stroll around the neighborhood, each of us with a stroller.  I had Cade who just sat back and relaxed taking it all in.  Lukas on the other hand could not keep his eyes off of Cade.  He would do whatever Cade did, and just follow his lead on everything.  Cade at one point put both of his legs out of the stroller and it wasn't but seconds later, Lukas copied him (didn't look as comfortable though since he had to keep leaning forward to watch his next move)  I'm sure that was a completely random story for most readers, but as his mother it just makes me laugh because that is how I was with my older sister growing up, although I think she learned to take advantage of it :)

We definitely kept busy and entertained for the afternoon and evening.  I loved watching them interact with each other and laugh together.  I know they are going to be best buds!  I'm just so glad that Matt and Jana let us keep him for the night.  I did freak out a little after they were in bed thinking how I will ever adjust to two of them all the time come October.  I guess I have a few more months to figure that out though.

On another side note.... this is my 100 post!!!!  Hopefully I still have some followers :)
