Surprise Trip!!!

Last weekend I had both Friday and Monday off of work.  Since it was a long weekend I decided to go and surprise my sister for a visit.  I had made arrangements with Mitch just to make sure it would all work out.  I am horrible at secrets so I was very excited when this worked out.  The look on her face when Lukas and I walked in was PRICELESS!  It was a great surprise and a great weekend all together!

Erin had a couple of games over the weekend so Lukas and I had to drive on our own.  I was very nervous about this.  It is almost a 5 hour trip.  Lukas did AWESOME though going there and back.  He loved to read his books and took a few naps.  We had a couple of freak out moments, but we got through it.

While we were in Omaha, we were able to just relax and hang out at Christy's.  We watched some "Toons" of course for Lukas and a few movies as well.  Christy felt bad about not having a lot of toys, and the ones I brought were only interesting for a little while, but we found all sorts of good things to do.  Lukas was a big fan of the beans in the bowl.  We love to pour them back and forth to all different sized bowls.  We also introduced Lukas to the pillow pile that he could jump fall into.  He had a great time.  When it was time to leave Lukas was hugging Christy and didn't want to let go.  It was adorable! 

Thank you guys for letting us invade your house for the weekend!  We had a great time :)

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope everyone has had a wonderful day full of love!  I am in the middle of parent/teacher conferences this week so sorry this is just short and sweet.  Pictures are from this morning right after Lukas woke up, so he still looks a little sleepy.

Merry Christmas to Me

For Christmas Erin got me a couples massage at the Rock Haven Spa just outside of Hays.  We actually went in the middle of January and I am just getting around to blogging about it.  I have never been there before so I didn't know what to expect.  The only other professional massage we have ever gotten was on our honeymoon, so I was very excited for this.  I have to say it was AWESOME!  They have such a neat set up there and you can just forget everything and enjoy it.  They first send you outside to relax in a hot tub and eat some cheese and crackers and then come back in for a steam shower.  The hour massage was perfect though.  It was such a thoughtful gift from my wonderful hubby!!
