For those of you that do not know, Erin and I are expecting our first little one! We are now just waiting for his arrival. He is due to be here in 2 1/2 weeks. You would think I could just relax and enjoy these last couple of weeks of sleeping in and being on my own schedule; however, that is easier said than done. Anytime I tell someone how much longer, they respond saying how it could really be anytime then. This response only gets things rolling around in my head. I begin thinking about he is just going to arrive tomorrow. I hate not knowing!
The nesting period has come and gone. I am pretty sure we have cleaned out and straightened everything we could in this house. You know it is bad when I even get Erin to clean out his closet and get rid of some of his clothes (he does not like to get rid of HIS things). I have looked through all the lists of things you need with a newborn, and I think we
got it all and some extras. I am very lucky to have such amazing sisters and friends that gave us a baby shower last weekend. The picture is of the diaper cake that my sisters made. I was very impressed! We got a ton of wonderful things, and I finally started to feel prepared. We had a lot of fun going through all of it and putting things away. We are a little bit of neat freaks, so the nursery is clean, put together, and ready to go. Hopefully we won't have to wait much longer before the little guy can enjoy the space as well!We will keep you updated!
